LAURA LEE is beloved for her award-winning original plays, one-woman shows and memorable characters. For over twenty years, her performances have been featured at arts festivals, colleges and playhouses. Her original play about adult literacy was featured by PBS and airs nationally. She was also named a Kentucky Cultural Treasure. Laura Lee has been recognized with major grants from the Kentucky Foundation for Women, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Humanities for her original plays. Laura Lee is currently working on a new one-woman show that will premiere in Las Vegas in 2009. She is a playwright, sculptor and painter, plays several musical instruments, and relishes the artistic process. Laura Lee feels blessed to have been in Menopause the Musical in several cities including Philadelphia, Boston, Denver, New Haven, St. Louis, Seattle, and most recently, the National Tour.
